But, there is a difference in their commitment to service and staff.Over the many, many years (we hate to say how many) we’ve been in the business, we have closed at hundreds of title companies, but Connie Smith, branch manager at the Lawyers Title Company in Afton Oaks, is our favorite Escrow Officer! She and her staff are always courteous, return their phone calls (not all do) in a fast and timely manner, notify you of any upcoming surprises at closing, and usually circumvent any problems before closing.The title company is the most important part of the glue that holds your transaction together. It is the last step….THE CLOSING! Connie and her staff have “saved many transactions from going south”, and has always maintained an atmosphere of professionalism.
